The second issue reviews the 24th iaf in Münster, introduces a machine concept for the refurbishment of rails and presents the Lokwelt Freilassing.
Read an excerpt of the review of the iaf 2006.
At the end of May / beginning of June this year Münster presented itself from its rainy side, as it had done at the iaf 2003. Both during setup and throughout the exhibition the sun was only to be seen sporadically on the Westphalian sky, clouds were seen much more frequently and they would open up to sometimes heavy downpours.
This rain made the preparations for the ROBEL outdoor exhibition very difficult. The track panels were all ready in front of the Münsterland exhibition hall but they were no way near presentable. Before the machines could be set up a lot of preparatory work was still to be done. ROBEL employees filed the rust from the rails and then painted them and the sleepers. Extra work which in the end positively distinguished our company's outdoor exhibition from the competition.
As nice as the end result was, the work was considerably delayed by the rain. The lost time was not spent idly but was used to support the setup team at the indoor stand. After all, they had to accommodate over 100 exhibition panels, 18 tables, 40 chairs, 4 TV screens, 2 models and much more in an area of just under 200 m2 .
